All The Upcoming Drama in Coronation Street

ree

2025 has been off to an exciting start on the cobbles, with explosive storylines kicking off left, right and centre.

We've already seen a horrific stabbing that resulted in the death of Mason Radcliffe, Daisy Midgeley had a mic drop moment with her pregnancy announcement, and Abi and Kevin Webster have both seen a decline in their health, with PTSD and cancer battles respectively.

In recent episodes, the Platt house was destroyed in a horrific blaze, with youngster Max Turner almost losing his life — though, it's since come to light that he was the one who started the fire in the first place!

It's looking to be an explosive year for the residents of Weatherfield...so what else is coming up?

Starting with this week, newcomers Mick and Lou are about to arrive and stir up some trouble. It seems the couple already have connections to a few familiar faces. With Lou starting up a friendship with neighbour Gemma Winter-Brown, is it going to soon come to light that Mick is the mysterious 'van man' who's been tormenting Chesney..?

While nothing is known yet of their connection to bent copper Kit Green, it has been said that they're going to be the key to unlocking some of his past. Has the dodgy police officer had dealings with them before? Or could they perhaps be related to his adoptive family?

Only time will tell, but with actress Farrel Hegarty telling Radio Times '[Lou] is a very colourful person who likes to make waves and try to cause chaos', it seems they're likely to cause a stir...

Rob Donovan Left for Dead

An exciting trailer dropped this week, showing what lies ahead for incarcerated Rob Donovan. The trailer shows Rob seemingly threatening sister Carla Connor, stating 'I would die before I go back to prison, and if that means taking someone with me, then so be it.'

With upcoming spoilers showing that Rob is in fact left for dead after being attacked, just who ends up attacking the murderer — and will he end up dead?

It looks as if next week is set to be intense, especially for Rob, Carla, and copper girlfriend, Lisa Swain. Is she the one who attacks Rob?

Baby Daddy Reveal

Fans have been desperate to know just who the father of Daisy Midgeley's baby is. While most think Daniel is the logical answer, Kit is still an option.

Considering Daisy and Daniel had a falling out, after she publicly announced that they'd slept together in front of Daniel's (now ex) fiancée, Bethany Platt, it does stand to reason that she'd be more likely to hide the paternity if he was the baby daddy...but will that be the case?

While Daisy received the DNA results a few weeks ago, she's kept them a secret from everyone, including step-mum, Jenny Connor. All is soon set to be revealed — will Daisy and Daniel finally get another chance at a happy ending?

Prison for Max?

This week, fans were shocked to learn that Max Turner was the one who started the blaze at 8 Coronation Street. Though it was announced last month that Paddy Bever was leaving the role, and had already filmed his final scenes, many assumed he was going to lose his life in the fire.

Currently, David Platt and Leanne Battersby are both under suspicion of the fire, with Leanne having no alibi for the time of the blaze, plenty of motive and a pack of matches in her pocket. Will Max turn himself in, or will he and Lauren decide it's time for a fresh start away from the cobbles?

It seems there's plenty of drama in store in the coming weeks, and with upcoming storylines such as Debbie Webster's dementia, and ongoing stories like Cassie's drugging of Ken, there's likely to be a lot of drama still to come!

With the British Soap Awards expected to return this June, Corrie are likely to spoil us with gripping storylines in the coming months, in the hopes of securing some of the coveted awards, especially after losing out to Emmerdale at last night's TV Choice Awards.

We can't wait to see what else executive producer Kate Brooks has up her sleeve!
